‘Proud to Offer the Best’

In today’s fiercely competitive business world, it is not only price that is a motivating factor for buyers. Successful sales people recognise that price is a factor in every sale, but it is seldom the primary reason someone chooses a particular product or supplier. Al Halabi Sales Executive Mr. Ibrahim Itani fully understands this, knowing that a well-informed buyer will usually base much of their decision on the value proposition presented by the sales person. “I am confident that I am offering my clients the very best, and I am committed to providing them with unrivalled advice and solutions,” he says. “This allows me to perform to the best of my ability at all times.”

Ibrahim has now been with Al Halabi for over 10 years, as he explains: “I joined Al Halabi at the end of 2006. I was in sales from the start, but in many ways I was an absolute beginner – I didn’t know anything about kitchen equipment at all. But the help and encouragement given to me by Al Halabi has been exceptional; without it I’m sure I would not be where I am today.”

And exactly where is Ibrahim today? Well, for a start he has been the company’s top Sales Executive for the past two years. But don’t get the idea that in the previous eight or nine years he was under-performing! On the contrary, Ibrahim has consistently been in the top three in terms of sales for most of his time at Al Halabi, and when you listen to him you begin to understand why. “It’s not an easy job, but I really enjoy it,” he says. “It’s exciting, particularly in Dubai where I am based; it’s such an exhilarating place to, with lots of projects always on the go.”

Ibrahim’s enthusiasm is contagious. He is proud to work for a leading player such as Al Halabi and, if faced with negative situations, chooses to focus on the positive elements, rising to the occasion to create not just sales, but real value and success for both the company and its clients.

When asked if he is now determined to become Al Halabi’s leading Sales Executive for the third successive year he concludes: “I want to keep on top, of course, but in reality I just want to do my best for the company; that’s what drives me forward. If I become the leading sales person again, perfect. But I don’t think about it – I just focus on doing my best. It’s a great company to work for, so that comes naturally.”
