In today’s fiercely competitive foodservice sector, new innovative technologies and evolving eating patterns demand that operators take their businesses to a new level. Mareno is known for its innovation, with a product portfolio that includes high efficiency open burners, precise adjustable power settings, pasta cookers complete with water sensor to prevent dry start, and new style fryer tanks with extended cool zones. So what’s next from Mareno? “We will be launching a new electronic line at the end of the year,” says Michele. “It will feature touchscreen control, much like an iPhone, and will cook in a very precise way. Our new motto is ‘Enjoy Your Kitchen’ and this new product line will allow chefs to do just that!”

The company’s success in the UAE has been fuelled by its partnership with Al Halabi, as Michele explains: “Mareno has been working with Al Halabi for more than 15 years; from the very beginning it was an important relationship for us, and it has developed into a situation where they are now the exclusive supplier for our products throughout the UAE. And their new showrooms – I recently visited the one in Sharjah – are simply outstanding.”
