‘Awani… Now Open at The Dubai Mall”

Fresh, nutritious, healthy, aromatic; it’s no surprise that Middle Eastern cuisine’s global profile has soared in recent years. Of course, if you want to enjoy the region’s very finest food, then you need to head to a genuinely authentic restaurant in the Middle East itself, and residents and visitors to Dubai know that some of the very best culinary delights are to be found at Awani.

A contemporary restaurant offering the last word in classic Levant and Armenian cuisine, whilst providing legendary Arabian generosity and hospitality, Awani serves authentic dishes created and prepared by some of the region’s most creative chefs. Using centuries-old methods of cooking that distinguish Mediterranean cuisine, Awani caters to both locals and tourists, with a variety of world-famous delicacies offered in addition to traditional Middle Eastern dishes.

It has proven to be a popular combination too, with three Awani restaurants now having opened in Dubai in order to satiate the demand of gastronomes who live in or visit the city. The first opened at The Beach, opposite JBR, three years ago, with the second and third branches opening within around three months of each other – in The Outlet Village in December 2016, and in Dubai Mall in mid-March 2017.

The most recent opening, in Dubai Mall, is simply sensational, not only in terms of the food and customer service, but also the interior design and location. Indeed, the design can reasonably be termed ‘a piece of art’, whilst the location allows diners on the restaurant’s terrace to enjoy unrivalled views of the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Mall fountain.

Naturally, to prepare and cook truly authentic cuisine it is important to invest in only the finest and most appropriate commercial kitchen equipment. “We have worked with Al Halabi on all three of our restaurants,” explains Operations Manager Elie Sfeir. “We always appreciate their expertise and quality workmanship; nothing ever seems to be too much trouble. And in the Dubai Mall restaurant, Al Halabi even went so far as to design and manufacture special bespoke equipment. We have a live station for roasting lamb, for instance, as well as a number of other items that have been customised.”

Awani is a part of the AWJ Group, which also has brands such as Catch 22 and Operation: Falafel, with Al Halabi regularly working on projects across the entire spectrum. “We have no need to go anywhere else, as Al Halabi provides us with every product and service we could ever need,” concludes Elie Sfeir.
